Companies with Refugees Forum: 4th Annual Meeting

The 4th Annual Meeting of the Companies with Refugees Forum took place at Accor, in São Paulo, on October 2, 2025. The event brought together 210 participants, including companies and organizations recognized for their work on diversity, as well as government representatives, UN agencies, and refugee professionals.

During the event, several companies shared their experiences in hiring people in need of international protection. The program also featured a cultural performance, an entrepreneurs’ fair, panels with engaged leaders sharing lessons on refugee inclusion, and inspiring testimonies from refugee women. In addition, there were important discussions on inclusion from an intersectional perspective and the presentation of empirical data on how hiring refugees contributes to economic development, among other activities. One of the highlights of the event was the first-ever Recognition Ceremony for Best Practices of the Companies with Refugees Forum.

The Companies with Refugees Forum currently has more than 150 members and promotes training sessions, events, and awareness-raising initiatives to engage the private sector in the inclusion of refugees in the Brazilian labor market.
