Description
App MyCNAIM is a mobile application that promotes proximity between services and the migrant communities, including refugees.
Project aims
This app provides information, in Portuguese, English and Arabic regarding the various services made available by the High Commission for Migration, as well as legal information on entering and staying in Portugal, international protection, access to nationality, housing, employment, health, education, learning Portuguese, and many other important information for integration in Portugal.
Resources used
All contents of the App are already available on the High Commission on Migration’s site, which facilitated its implementation.
Main activities of the Good Practice
- Objective 2: Enhance refugee self-reliance
- Objective 3: Expand access to third countries for refugees through resettlement and other pathways of admission
Challenges and how they were overcome
Challenges: Adapt contents that could be easily accessed and understood though an app.
How they were overcome: Adaption of the language and referral system to facilitate the identification of the national and local services for the integration of migrants and also the associations recognized by the High Commissioner for Migration.
Results of the Good Practice
It’s a friendly app where migrants and refugees can have on the mobiles all the information available at national centres.
It further gives access to the platform “Portuguese online”.
