The project in brief

The project is implemented by Unity Initiative for Refugees (UIR) in Kakuma, Kenya. It has been an ongoing project for the last two years. UIR is a refugee-led organization that offers activities on WASH, childcare, permaculture, digital skills and more.

The main goal of the project is to empower women, provide childcare and youth education as well as assist with the set up of small businesses and livelihood programs.

Objective 2: Enhance refugee self-reliance

Through education and livelihood projects, refugees are empowered and more self-reliant.

'Shortages of education materials, enough education, lacking Permaculture materials

 

'Within 5 years I am going to set up training to educate refugees between 10-35 years on English, Permaculture skills designs , Digitals course how to write and practice. My favorite hobby within 6month I will have class of 400 learners within5 classrooms and each with 80 learners and build my relationship by the world of mouth and friendship with community Leaders.

Solving education issues to setup more school and mobilizing community people on door to door.
