The 2021/2022 Human Development Report is the latest in the series of global Human Development Reports published by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) since 1990 as independent, analytically, and empirically grounded discussions of major development issues, trends and policies.
This year’s Report invites us to take a hard look at ossi-fied and oversimplified assumptions about human decision-making. Institutions assume away people’s messiness — our emotions, our biases, our sense of belonging — at our peril.
