Kavira's Life-Changing Resettlement: From DRC to Canada

After resettling to Canada in 2023 with her children, Kavira, a former refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo, is hopeful about the future. Just a few years prior to her resettlement, Kavira had been forced to flee for her life—targeted for running a small business in Congo, surviving refugee camps in Kenya, and enduring the loss of her brother and a decline in her own health.
