A Refugee's Journey to Self-reliance

A video from RefugePoint

Meet Esperance, a refugee business owner in Nairobi, striving to become self-reliant. Esperance has had a knack for business since she was 12, when she sold bananas and avocados in her country of origin. Esperance and her family fled violence, seeking safety in Nairobi. With RefugePoint’s help, she received medical aid, food assistance, and a business grant. She runs a thriving fish-frying business, using her profits to educate her children and provide for her family.
